Some of the best pulled pork I've ever had! This place is easy to pass by when you're driving, but it's definitely worth stopping in! They have very fair prices on their delicious creations, generous servings, kind service, a great drinks selection, and reasonable hours. I highly recommend visiting if you've never been; you'll be back, if you have.

What a hidden gem. We've been looking for takeout pizza that we can afford weekly (unlike some of the more popular places that have to be a treat) The food was solid and the owner seemed like a great guy. Please check this place out and support a local neighborhood business!

I had the appetizer sampler and a pulled pork sandwich with the coleslaw and everything was great quality food, they didnt cheap out on anything, amazing coleslaw which isnt something i come by a lot. The atmoshpere is really cool as well and the owner was really kind. I will be back for sure and look forward to trying everything on the menu (which is huge!)

Hard working guy took great care of me and my kids! We had ice cream and ice cold drinks on a summer day. The seating outside was convenient, the parking was great, and he was so fast! Thanks so much!

Everything we've ever had from the extensive menu has been absolutely delicious - it's become one of our favorite places to go. The coleslaw is amazing, with just a little kick, while most other slaws are bland. And Dan's the best!

Greek pizza is some of the best around

My friend Carol brought food over from this place last night. Was DELICIOUS ... ribs, coleslaw and corn bread (everything we had). Also Carol says the guy there was super-friendly. So we'll all be back, Carol and us!

   Very cute little place with a kind owner. The food was A+ and reasonably priced. Owner chatted with us a bit and gave us free ice cream at the      end. Definitely going to go back as it's a nice lil walk from our place and a good experience! Boyfriend got the BBQ chicken sandwich, I got the pulled pork pizza (12").

Pulled pork, pulled brisket, and pulled turkey sandwiches are delicious and smoked to perfection in the smoker right out in front of the store. Great fries too. Perfect lunch or quick stop for BBQ lovers. High end BBQ restaurant quality without paying for a sit-down meal.

First time my wife and I ate here and the food was excellent. We ordered pulled pork which was smoked and cooked to perfection. We met the owner who was a very friendly individual from the start. We finished our food and the owner asked us for feed back as well. The prices were very fair and we will be back again.

I really like Back Cove BBQ. I have had burgers and pulled pork, both excellent. Wide selection of beverages available. The owner is kindly and friendly. If the place is busy the wait can be a bit long but always worth it.

Been there once but it was really tasty. Owner smokes the meat himself and you can tell its good quality. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for lunch or early dinner option.

With all the places closing in Portland I'd like to highlight one of my favorite spots.

If you get a chance, I highly recommend Back Cove BBQ and Pizzeria on Ocean Ave.

No nonesense food. I'm in love with the burger. I always go double double with bacon. My wife loves the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches, but she had a bite of my burger today and also loved that. Tbh I haven't tried anything else but I bet it's awesome. The crinkle cut fries are awesome too.

The owner seems like a really good guy, whenever I've gone in it's just him. You can tell he just likes making food and knows how to do it well.
